Who are the customers?

Career TEAM has operated programs in Washington DC since 2001 and in Baltimore since March of 2006.    We serve clients with limited English proficiency, poor or limited work histories, health and dental problems, low basic education skills, substance abuse and/or domestic violence issues.  Others may have good educational and work histories but need assistance to re-enter the workforce. 

Career TEAM works with both rural and urban populations.  Most of our customers are single parents, mainly female, African-American, Latino and Caucasian.  Many do not have their own transportation, have limited job skills, lack childcare, and not been successful in finding employment.

Despite these traditional barriers Career TEAM has a 79% average placement rate of those referred (in fulltime employment 30 hrs or more) and 78% average retention rate of those placed (90-days or more).
