Career T.E.A.M. (CTL) in partnership with The Pacific Institute (TPI) & Penobscot Job Corps Center Announce New Career Success Skills Partnership
March 2006, Penobscot, Maine: Andrew Carpenter, Center Director for Penobscot Job Corps Academy and Christopher Kuselias, CEO of CTL announced that Penobscot had reached an agreement to incorporate the newly created CTL/TPI Career Success Skills program as a mandatory requirement for all students. CTL and TPI have formed an alliance to create solutions to the newly introduced Career Success standards (CSS) by the national office of Job Corps.
Under the terms of this agreement, Penobscott Job Corps Academy (a Career Systems Development Corporation project) purchased a permanent, non exclusive and non transferable license to reproduce and utilize the CTL/TPI materials in whole or in part for the purposes of preparing their students for the 21st century workplace.
CTL/TPI staff have already begun training the Penobscott staff to implement the new curriculum. As part of the contract, Penobscot also received an annual maintenance contract which will provide their Academy with timely updates and enhancements at a nominal fee.
Commented Kuselias, "I applaud the forsesight of Mr. Carpenter and his organization for taking advantage of this cost effective and beneficial staff development and student preparation program. It is clear that Career Systems
Development Corporation is an industry leader and ahead of the curve with respect to transitioning graduates to the ever challenging 21st century workplace." A July presentation by CTL/TPI to the nine other Career Systems Job Corps Centers is planned for July.
