Career T.E.A.M. Awarded TANF Contract In New Haven, CT

New Haven, CT, July 2005: After responding to a competitive Request For Proposal, Career T.E.A.M. announced that it has contracted with Workforce Alliance, theRegional Workforce Development Board serving South Central Connecticut, to provide Job Readiness & Occupational Skills Training to TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) customers.

For this award, Career T.E.A.M will establish a Career Empowerment Center, which will provide welfare recipients with up to six weeks of intensive life/soft skills followed by placement and retention, all necessary in the transition from dependency to self-sufficiency.
