Hamden, Connecticut, February 10, 2002 - Career T.E.A.M., a nationally recognized employment and training organization was pleased to host the first Carol City One Stop Career Center Career Fair. The Career Fair will be held at the Carol City One Stop Career Center located at 4690, N.W. 183rd Street from 10 am – 2 pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2002.

Twenty-seven (27) South Florida employers representing labor market industries in retail, hospitality and travel, airlines, education, pipe fitters and construction unions, security, health services, military, temp to hire, law enforcement, office management and warehouse and shipping were on site to screen, interview and select One Stop customers for immediate full and part time job openings.

Local radio stations, WQAM, Power 96 and the Spanish broadcasting station, Manbi,  all provided on air announcements. Local TV channels 23 and 7 are also participating broadcasters of the Career Fair.

Many local community resources and information were made available to the public at the Career Fair. Jackson Hewitt, an income tax preparation service was on site to recruit and train new tax preparers as well as offer free tax preparation services to One Stop customers.

It was a great day of rewards as we served as the vehicle that connects local employers with local job seekers.
