Career T.E.A.M., Embraces malcolm baldrige principles to enhance performance

Hamden , Connecticut , January, 2003 - Career T.E.A.M., a nationally recognized workforce development company is pleased to announce the inclusion of the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria into its corporate business model. Already a recognized leader in performance standards in the workforce development arena, Career T.E.A.M has joined the ever-growing business community in Connecticut who has come to appreciate and adopt the high standards of excellence and performance that the Baldrige Criteria sets as a benchmark.

“We recognize that we can always improve”, said veteran trainer for the company, John Cyr. “Our company is used to meeting benchmarks, and our Founder/C.E.O., Chris Kuselias, has always encouraged us to reach inside to reinvent ourselves and strive for the best that we can be. But this is something new! Our company is at the stage of growth that we are excited about, and the time is right for us to strive for winning the most prestigious quality award in America ”, says Cyr.

The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program began in 1988. It was named after the Secretary of Commerce who served between 1981 and 1987, which term was interrupted by his tragic death in a horsing accident. His expertise in management and leadership influenced increased efficiency at the federal government level, which inspired the creation of a public act that created the award program in 1987. It is designed to foster excellence in American businesses, education, and health care, in both large and small businesses.

During the last fourteen years, the Malcolm Baldrige Award has been earned by such companies as IBM, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Boeing Airlift and Tanker Programs, 3M Dental Products Division, Merrill Lynch Credit Corporation, Xerox Business Services, Eastman Chemical Company, and Motorola Inc., just to name a few.

“There hasn’t been a winner yet from the state of Connecticut . We want to be the first”, said company C.E.O., Christopher Kuselias.  For more information regarding government contracting, staff development training or corporate training, visit our web site at (www.careerteam.com.)
