Hamden , Connecticut , January, 2003 - Career T.E.A.M., a nationally recognized workforce development company is pleased to announce the inclusion of the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria into its corporate business model. The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program began in 1988. It was named after the Secretary of Commerce who served between 1981 and 1987, which term was interrupted by his tragic death in a horsing accident. His expertise in management and leadership influenced increased efficiency at the federal government level, which inspired the creation of a public act that created the award program in 1987. It is designed to foster excellence in American businesses, education, and health care, in both large and small businesses.
