Career T.E.A.M. NAMED ONE OF THE NATION'S 500 FASTEST GROWING COMPANIES BY INC MAGAZINE

Hamden, Connecticut, October 10, 2001- Career T.E.A.M., a Connecticut based employment and training organization is proud to announce that it has been named one of America’s entrepreneurial growth leaders (#416) in the October issue of INC magazine.

Established in 1982, the INC 500 ranks the nation’s leading entrepreneurial firms according to sales growth over the past 5 years. Former INC 500 companies that have gone on to become household names include Microsoft, Timberland, Dominoâs Pizza, Patagonia and E-Trade.

The INC 500 gives America a window on the future - which companies will be the Microsofts and Timberlands of tomorrow," said George Gendron, INC editor-in-chief. "The economy may have slowed, but entrepreneurial enterprises have always been, and will continue to be, the nationâs foremost engine of growth and job creation."

Founded in 1995, Career T.E.A.M. derives revenues from corporate training and government contracts, where it has successfully trained and employed over 5,000 former welfare recipients. This stellar performance record has resulted in numerous honors and commendations including recognition as one of the nation’s Top 10 welfare to work intermediaries by the National Welfare to Work Partnership and a recipient of the 1999 US Chamber of Commerce Blue Chip Enterprise Award. Career T.E.A.M. has also been profiled in several national media sources including CNN, The Employment and Training Reporter and The National Alliance of Business Work America.

According to Career T.E.A.M. C.E.O., Christopher J. Kuselias, "this most recent award is further testimony to the diligent efforts and innovation of all Career T.E.A.M. staff members. It is a clear example of the positive effects of vision, teamwork and accountability."

To be eligible for the INC 500, companies had to be independent and privately held through the year 2000, have at least $200,000 in sales in the base year of 1996, and their 2000 sales had to have exceeded 1999 sales. Holding companies, regulated banks and utilities are not eligible.
