July 1, 2007: Career T.E.A.M. announced that it is offering to funding sources and vendors a comprehensive certification program designed to increase participation, placement, wage rate and retention performance.

Christopher Kuselias, CTL Founder states, "Studies show that only about 10% of the nation's job developers have received any formal sales training. Today, we know that job development and meeting placement and retention objectives requires strong sales skills.

"Selling", by dictionary definition, is not negative. Being able to "sell" and build trust is quintessential if you're are a workforce industry professional charged with building a thriving client base. CTL offers a certification program specially designed for job developers and other career services professionals who have to sell themselves, their students, their organization and job preparation services. CTL demonstrates that "selling" is an accepted and necessary part of today's competitive workforce development marketplace.

The CTL Job Developer Certification program combines interactive classroom training with follow-up reinforcement, and reference materials. Attendees learn to handle difficult clients. They create a regional employment plan to help obtain more high paying job leads, become the hiring source of choice, and outperform staffing agencies. They learn to increase placement and retention performance and develop techniques that will make clients successful professionals.

To help accomplish their goals, attendees complete a 10 point marketing plan. They then create an employer outreach schedule where 60% of their time is spent on outreach. Finally they make a features/benefits presentation to an actual employer; who will evaluate and score the presentation.

The growing customer list already includes ResCare, Arbor, Philadelphia Workforce Development Corporation and of course, all of CTL's own Job Developer staff.
