Career T.E.A.M. awarded new contract in Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore MD, February 2006: Career T.E.A.M., a national leader in the workforce development industry announced that it has been selected and named as an approved vendor by the Baltimore City Department of Social Services for its Coordinated/Supportive Works Preparation and Placement Services. The initial 30-month award is in the amount of $1.2 million and involves training and placement of low-income individuals. The award can be extended based upon successful attainment of objectives.
According to Career T.E.A.M., C.E.O., Christopher J. Kuselias, this most recent expansion into a great city like Baltimore further supports our organizational objective to align our nationally recognized self-sufficiency model with local service communities and providers who have a working knowledge of the employment community in their region.?
The new Baltimore based Career T.E.A.M. staff will focus on coaching welfare-to-work customers with an emphasis on long-term economic self-sufficiency. Career T.E.A.M. Project Manager, Clement Idun commented: “Our combined knowledge, expertise and application of technology will result in a holistic approach to welfare-to-work, previously unseen in Baltimore. Our locally appointed staff understands first hand, the economic and cultural issues Baltimore is facing.”
As a result, the company is in the process of developing a local network of resources to deliver an integrated system of training and placement services. Career T.E.A.M. will work closely with other funded vendors to provide Baltimore with optimal usage of state and federal funding.
