Career T.E.A.M. ANNOUNCES REVOLUTIONARY
TRAINING PROGRAM FOR JOB CORPS STAFF

Mahwah , NJ Feb. 6, 2003 – Career T.E.A.M., a nationally recognized workforce development consulting group, announced that it will begin training and coaching Job Corps Centers in Region One, which encompasses New York (Cassadaga, Iroquois, Glenmont, Brooklyn , South Bronx, Delaware Valley, and Oneonta) Edison N.J. , and Puerto Rico locations.

The consulting relationship with Job Corps began after Career T.E.A.M. was selected to present at the first ever Region One Vocational Conference and IT Expo held February 4-6th at the Sheraton Crossroads Hotel in Mawah , New Jersey . The conference theme involved strategies for increased performance and accountability. Career T.E.A.M. focused its unique and compelling techniques for increased performance to Career Transition Specialists (CTS) and Directors of the regions’ eight Job Corp centers.

Participants were instructed and entertained by Career T.E.A.M. CEO, Christopher J. Kuselias and Lead Trainer, John Cyr as they guided attendees through motivational concepts, and thinking-outside-the box employment sales and marketing strategies. The group was introduced to concepts like the 80/20 Principle, basic sales training, and unique marketing ideas to increase student placement and retention results. Participants, who were mostly employment outreach specialists, learned how to prepare a selling script, discussed major employer benefits, and practice overcoming the most challenging objections.

Mr. Joseph A. Semansky, Regional Director, who has oversight of the eight New York and New Jersey Job Corps sites for the Department of Labor, was thrilled with the Career T.E.A.M. performance and subsequent reaction by participants. After personally attending the session, Mr. Semansky remarked, “You guys are great!”

Career T.E.A.M.’s Lead Trainer John Cyr says, “We want to have a national affect. We want the staff who serve youth and the youth of America to be motivated and not place restrictions on their capabilities or have limiting beliefs. This is our dream, to reach as many people with this message as possible.”
