Wilmington, DE March 2009 – Career Team Delaware makes a donation to SAM, a shelter for women who are abusive lifestyle survivors. SAM has worked to raise awareness about physical abuse, mental abuse and substance abuse that lead to homelessness that afflict our communities. Our emphasis is on changing outcomes for individuals, families and communities among women, especially low income or poverty stricken families and communities.

Many of the individuals served by SAM are served by Career Team as well. Career Team Delaware continues to provide personal services that lead to employment for Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) recipients with the ultimate goal being self-sufficiency and success. Partnerships with organizations like SAM continue to make this possible.
